share market: Share market update: Most active stocks in today’s market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 39.51 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 13.66 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 11.87 crore), Coal India Ltd(numbers of share traded: 7.41 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 7.33 crore), Vedanta (numbers of share traded: 5.95 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 5.92 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.78 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 5.23 crore) and SAIL(numbers of share traded: 4.24 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday’s market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 107.9 points down at 16498.05, while BSE Sensex ended down 366.22 points at 55102.68.

On the other hand, UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 6.54 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 5.18 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 5.18 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd.(down 4.62 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 3.93 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
